Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
you be the anchor that keeps my feet on the ground, i'll be the wings that keep your heart in the clouds.

i never did like talking about myself. it isn't that i think i'm so boring or there's nothing interesting about me, it's just that i'd rather sit and observe other people and learn about them, or hope that someone would do the same for me. i loved and hated the times in high school, or college, when you would start a new class and you had to stand up and introduce yourself to everyone. i learned more about the people in my classes and i would always try to talk to a few of them, just because i thought that they were genuinely good people and surprisingly, i even made a few good friends that way.

i guess i should just get over it and ramble on, just like i do whenever i'm actually engaging in a conversation. so, i guess i'll start with my name. my name is anthony christopher vincent. i think it's too long of a name, but apparently, my mom was very adamant in making that my name. i'm from pittsburgh, pa and i miss it a lot, but at the same time, it was just time for me to get out. i dropped out of college just before my senior year started. a friend and i had plans on moving here just because we felt like we were being suffocated, but he had chickened out last minute and i figured that if i put all of this time and effort into leaving that i would just go alone, and i did. i don't regret a single second of it. i returned back to school for many reasons once i got settled into longport and i'm very happy with the decision. it definitely fills up a lot of my time, but

i work at hot topic and it's actually a really fun job. i never thought that i would be one to be working there, but it works out. i make pretty decent money and it's enough to get me through. when i'm not working, i'm either driving around listening to whatever music i have on my ipod on full blast, playing the guitar or video games at home, or maybe even making the drive down to pittsburgh for the weekend. you could probably find me at shows now and then too, since i always have so much fun at those and not to mention, it's a good place to meet people outside of work. i've only been here in longport for a few months and i'm still looking for more kids to hang out with. especially people who can cook because i can only make a few things and mac and cheese is getting a little old. or even someone who will take me to red lobster because i will always be your best friend. i wish i could say that i was kidding.

i don't always know what i'm going to do in my life, but i'm having fun living it. i've had a few rough times in longport, but i'm ready to come back and hit it all with full force. i'm going to prove that i don't need anyone, but i enjoy the people that i have in my life. i love the friends that i have and i know that the people who are in my life are good people. i've got it made right now. good friends, a possible band, i couldn't ask for more. sometimes a person needs something bad to happen in their lives to realize the good and i think the past couple of months has proven that to me.

i'm always looking for new music or new books to read. if you have any suggestions, you should throw them my way. i like going to thrift stores or any sales that any book stores that my have and just pick up a few random things. i'm full of a lot of useless information thanks to these books. i do spend a lot of my own time on the internet too, constantly looking around for new bands to listen to, whether they're obscure or not. sometimes i'll even go shopping to find something to fill up this small apartment, trying to make it seem more homey. my furniture doesn't match and i have my tv on a dresser that i spray painted and have written random lyrics and quotes on with a silver sharpie.

i feel like i just rambled and not even gone into what i'm really about. i have a good family, a good life and i'm usually always happy. i don't ever like to be in a bad mood and i definitely don't like to be bored. i realized that when i was young and i think that's what happens when you grow up as an only child and you're left to your own imagination sometimes to do whatever you need to do to have a little fun. i like to go exploring around cities too, with no specific destination in mind, so if i can find someone to go along with me, they'd also have to be my new best friend. i like seafood a lot, too, in case i didn't mention that. there's nothing like fresh seafood, but i'll take it at a red lobster or anything, too, hinthint nudgenudge. oh, and i love winter. there's nothing like being able to dress up in hoodies and jackets, along with hats, scarves, and gloves and playing out in the snow or snow tubing. if you've never done it, you're missing out.

i think that's going to be the end of it. i might even delete this later and start all over again, i'm not too sure. i'm getting a little too antsy and i want to go do something, even though i should do something productive like grocery shopping since my cupboards is starting to look a bit bare.
